Jerome Flynn portrayed fireman Kenny 'Rambo' Baines in the original London's Burning movie. When it was commissioned as a full series Flynn was not available, so his character did not return. Ironically his replacement in London's Burning was Glen Murphy, whom he had narrowly beaten to the role of Rambo.

Flynn went on to have a successful career in television during the 1990s, starring in Soldier Soldier, Between the Lines, Ain't Misbehavin' and Badger. He was also one half of the musical duo Robson and Jerome, which had UK #1 singles with Unchained Melody, What Becomes of the Broken Hearted? and I Believe. Since 2011, he has played Bronn in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.
