Biography[]
Sheffield born Gregg Blake transferred to Blue Watch from Woodford in the wake of the appliance crash, and was Skippy's replacement. Gregg had a good singing voice and took part in the talent contest at the Ship Aground, singing a version of Bette Midler's "The Wind Beneath My Wings".
At a flooded art exhibition Gregg got talking to one of the students, Tiggy, and asked her out. They went out a few times, but Gregg was mystified when paparazzi photographed them on a night out, until their pictures appeared in the newspapers the following morning. It turned out that Tiggy was the daughter of a former MP.
While the pump crew were on standby at Upham, Gregg noticed a fuse had come out of the fuse box and popped it back in, not realising the fuse was faulty. When the crew returned from a shout the station was on fire. George advised Gregg to keep quiet about it, but Gregg eventually owned up to Georgiadis, who warned him that he would face a disciplinary charge.
During a shout at a bus depot, Gregg was injured in a fall while trying to rescue some children. He woke up in hospital with Tiggy at his side. She told him that she loved him, and tearfully asked him to choose between her and the Fire Brigade. Gregg did not return for series 11.
