Gerard Horan (born 11 November 1962) is an English actor who portrayed Lesley 'Charisma' Appleby in London's Burning from 1986 to 1989. Horan left after series 2 to tour with Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare company. He returned to the show for another five episodes in series 7.
A RADA graduate, Horan has appeared in numerous Shakespeare films alongside Branagh. His television appearances include Les Girls, Brookside, Agatha Christie's Poirot, Doctor Who, New Tricks, Kavanagh Q.C, Boon, My Family, Casualty, A Touch of Frost, The Singing Detective, Wycliffe, Lewis, Kingdom, Lovejoy, The Green Green Grass, The Royal, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, The Bill, My Uncle Silas, Soldier Soldier, Midsomer Murders, Lark Rise to Castleford, NCS: Manhunt, Hot Money, Agatha Christie's Marple, Heartbeat, Dalziel and Pascoe, Doc Martin and Harbour Lights.
He has also appeared in the 2008 heist movie The Bank Job alongside Jason Statham and Saffron Burrows, and the 2017 live action adaptation of Beauty and The Beast as Monsieur Jean
In November 2016, Horan was among the former London's Burning cast members who attended the official opening of the new Dockhead fire station, on the site of the original Blackwall station where the show was filmed.[1]
