Geoff Pearce thinks Blackwall's roof is leaking but it is in fact Skippy on the roof of the pump squirting him with water from a water pistol. Nick tells them that Blackwall will be getting a visitor from the Dutch fire brigade. Pearce's dog Bruno turns up at Borough Street Station but they refuse to return the dog to Blackwall unless they can have one of Blackwall's new pistol grip branches in return.
The Dutch visitor to Blackwall is Marianne whose arrival leaves all the men speechless. Chapman also arrives to greet her. They manage to prevent Chapman seeing Bruno but Nick catches them out later and furiously reprimands them and gives Geoff a 1 shift exclusion from the station. Blue Watch are called to release a thief whose leg was trapped under a forklift wheel whilst fleeing the scene and Marianne, a trained nurse provides assistance.
Jack gives Carole a lift home angering Martin. The following morning Carole is crestfallen when she sees that Jack has spent the night with Nicky at the pub. Pitbull's disciplinary hearing for racially abusing and bad behaviour to firefighter Warren takes place Recall makes an impassioned speech in his defence and Pitbull is let off with a reprimand and a £700 fine. Sicknote suggests unveiling a memorial plaque for John Hallam. Blue Watch are called to help a man who has been crushed and Jack takes the opportunity to steal Blackwall's branch back from one of Borough Street's pumps. Carole talks to the man and she is upset when he dies moments later.
